Exciting Citizen Science Volunteer Opportunity

Light-Trapping Plankton for Dungeness Crab Studies

One hour training, No obligations. No expertise needed.

April 14, 10 - 11 am

(Help create a Nature Salt Spring Team to share the
approximately 66 hours data collecting over the summer)

Nature Salt Spring is hoping to partner with the incredible Hakai Institute’s Sentinels of Change Project (click to learn more) to help them study the dispersal of Dungeness crabs around BC and in particular around Salt Spring Island. Using light traps and a network of community partners, the Sentinels Project is learning about the crab’s ecology, dispersal and survival and how they are adapting to climate change. Please contact us to register and for further information.
