NatureKidsExplorersDay!

NatureKids ExplorersDay!

Family Fun and Exploration - February 23, 1 – 3 pm

Our next NatureKids Explorer Day will take place at Xwaaqw'um (Burgoyne Bay Prov. Park).  We'll head out to explore the winter wonders of Nature and look for early signs of Spring.  Will there be snow on the ground?… with animal tracks to observe?  Will there be new shoots poking up, … buds on the bushes?  Will we find salmonberry blossoms or swamp lanterns?  What kinds of birds and other animals will we see and hear?

This activity is geared for families with kids up to 13 years old. Children must be accompanied by a parent or designated adult, and of course we all need to dress for the weather.  We'll meet at the Outdoor classroom and Quw'utson' Nation information panels near the main parking lot.

Where and when:  Xwaaqw'um (Burgoyne Bay Prov. Park), Feb. 23, 1pm-3pm,

Bring: Binoculars, bird and plant guides if you wish.

Wear warm clothing and good (water- and mud-proof) footwear, (and rain gear if weather suggests). Rain or shine we’ll go exploring!

Please register by emailing Jean at jdwilkingm@gmail.com . We're looking forward to seeing you all there and exploring Nature together!
