How to Hang a Whale

  • Lions Hall, 103 Bonnet Ave (map)

Make no bones about it, Michael DeRoos and Michi Main have the most interesting jobs imaginable! Their business, Cetacea, is situated right here on Salt Spring, and their work involves inspiring and educating people all over the world with compelling museum displays. They do this by converting dead marine mammals into fully-articulated hanging skeletons. It’s incredibly demanding work involving science, artistic talent, patience, and tolerance for wicked smells. You won’t want to miss this fascinating illustrated talk about how they do it!

$5/members and $10/non-members.

As seating is limited please register by emailing naturesaltspring@gmail.com and include the names of all attendees.
